Where is Milford Sound?

Milford Sound is located in Fiordland National Park on New Zealand’s South Island, in a hidden corner of the southwest coast. It’s so remote that there’s actually only one road in and out.

Because of this, most people start their journey from either Queenstown (about a 4-hour drive) or Te Anau, the closest town at around 2 hours away. It’s a bit of a journey, but I promise—it’s 100% worth it!
